The secrets of the Salone del Mobile and China, a new and important market
The global success achieved by the Salone del Mobile is also due to the determined and convinced support of Italian institutions. In fact, the highest offices of the Italian State actively participated and visited the pavilions of Rho Fiera, comparing and dialoguing with exhibitors and representatives of the furnishing sector. The presence of high governmental and institutional authorities has been concrete evidence of how the Salone represents one of the engines of the Italian economy, thanks to the fertile relationship between business, city and territory that it manages to create every year.

The official data confirm a massive presence of Chinese visitors (representing 40% of shopping).
Therefore, an increasingly important China for Italian design companies, a trend also confirmed by the president of Assarredo, Claudio Feltrin: «It is our seventh export market, with a value of about half a billion euros, but within five years it could be on the podium because wealthy Chinese consumers are showing great sensitivity and interest in our products ».
