The design of the architect Roberto Paoli, art director of the brand Slide , has enhanced the pre-existing elements of the space - such as the wrought iron veils of the two large windows and the floor parquet - adding new elements, both decorative and structural; the goal was to give a more contemporary look to the whole ensemble, maintaining an industrial vibe, with a stylish and elegant decoration.
But what are the origins of a successful brand such as Slide? Since 2002, the year of its foundation, the company presented itself as a leader in the field of outdoor and indoor furniture, lighting and design for contract, events and residential spaces decoration. Its founder, Giò Colonna Romano, has combined his fervid imagination with a thirty-year experience in the processing of plastic resins: a true demiurge that, starting from a humble material such as polyethylene, has shaped objects out of the ordinary, elevating them to refined and colorful design products.
With ideas in continuous evolution, the present and the future of Slide is the continuous search for novelties: from the materials, with the introduction of the soft and rigid polyurethane, to the shape, whose lines come from the collaboration of internationally renowned designers the likes of Alessandro Mendini, Paola Navone, Marcel Wanders, Karim Rashid and Marc Sadler. Great success worldwide for the production of luminous furniture, able to be protagonists of indelible events and contract that do not want to go unnoticed.
Slide did not stop and developed different products and sectors: from the acquisition and expansion of Design Of Love, to the development of rental services for corporate and private events, to the continuous search for beauty, with the Slide Art branch. innovation, Slide finds its first home in Buccinasco, where even today the offices and production facilities are located, but its roots reach the heart of Milan, thanks to the new showroom of Foro Buonaparte. The name Slide is today known all over the world and the products have arrived in more than 130 different countries.
