Rosé: the color trend for light design in 2018

The lighting turns feminine with a touch of copper and rose gold for this 2018. Illuminations this year are enriched with new pink metallic details, which bring warm and sophisticated reflections into the rooms.

Rose gold and copper, both polished and brushed, are the new trend metals, chosen for their strong material expressiveness and for the chromatic appeal of the surfaces, elegant and classy without being excessive. The LED lamp Passepartout by Cini & Nils exploits all the power of this material through the beauty of simplicity. It is a simple circular wall lamp with die-cast aluminum structure coupled with a copper-plated disc. The inspiration for this design is the primary shape of the circle, closed and perfect in its minimalism.

Serena by Flos in the copper version is a table lamp. The most special features of this design are the oriental vibe and the feminine touch that the color adds to it.  What makes this lamp truly unique is the combination of the industrial look brought by the copper material and the natural world inspiration of the shape.

One of the best-seller pieces by Kartell , the Bourgie table lamp designed by Ferruccio Laviani is a true dream in the new copper color. The lamp mixes classicism and tradition with innovation and irony. Entirely made of mass-colored polycarbonate has a baroque base with three decorated planes that cross each other, while the top is made with pleated effect for a game of a thousand reflections when lit. A special system allows you to have three different heights, which can be modified according to use: bedside, table or desk lamp, reading in the living room.

Copper Wide by Tom Dixon is a suspension lamp that looks like a sculpture of reflecting material. The transparent polyethylene lampshade is metalized inside with a copper film with a thickness of a few microns, to give it a mirror finish. The light is both concentrated and diffused gently, for a suitable use above a dining table or a conversation area.

Semplice by Oluce takes its name from the formal essential: its name is the Italian word for “simple”. The transparent blown glass supports the structure directly on the table, while the top of the lamp is covered with a lacquer rosé color, hiding the direct light source: a perfect design for a classy and functional bedside lamp.
