Alki is a French manufacturer of furniture—more specifically, of chairs. Nowadays, Alki offers a range of contemporary wooden furniture, especially oak furniture. Alki is a cooperative and is therefore strongly committed to both its environment and to its own people. Clients, architects and decorators all have their special place in this modern endeavour.
Thanks to its local production, Alki creates high quality and meticulously finished furniture. The company’s unique style reveals an inherited traditional know-how along with a more contemporary taste.
The principal raw material of Alki, oak, comes from sustainably managed French forest. The drying process is slow and delicate, requiring between four and seven years to attain a material suitable for their purposes. The manufacturing process involves various trades: carpenters, joiners, builders, finishers and, of course, master upholsterers. This allows precise assembly that precedes sanding, staining and varnishing by hand.
Alki collections, definitely contemporary, speak the language of harmony, textures and the senses.
